FYI: I have worked this off and on for 2 weeks. I got to understand 50% of it to work for me. Let me tell you this: there are 2 sides: Android Auto (if you use an Android based phone) plus Samsung Dex. One is simple, the other not so much. All depends what you want to process. I wanted to play material on YouTube and YouTube Music plus several hundred music videos I have recorded. They are on my phone and range anywhere from Miles Davis to The Cure to Vivaldi etc.. There are others who have processed a similar need, I am told, that wanted YouTube TV.
BTW, I have no idea if or how iPhone etc works in this domain.
