It's very logical that it will affect it.
Just see it as a smaller vent.
The smaller the vent the les air goes into it.

We currently do not offer a driving lamp option for the Elite Series Fog Lamp, as it is specifically designed with a fixed fog optic.

However, the SS3 Fog Light Kit provides more flexibility. The kit includes SAE-Fog optics, but these can be swapped for our SAE-Driving optic, which is designed to function as a supplemental high beam for long-range illumination.

Please note that the harness included with the kit automatically activates the fog lamps with your low beams. To gain manual control over the SAE-Driving pods or set them up to activate with your high beams, you’ll need an alternative wiring harness.

Nice. Perfect place for them. People are highly critical of Mustangs. I've heard people say what a waste of space. Something could go there. A vent for an oil cooler maybe. These fog lights are perfect. Good job.
