Concord, NC - July 29th, 2024 - At RTR® Vehicles, we’re all about pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in automotive customization. Today, we’re excited to introduce the RTR Extended Color Palette and Paint to Sample Program, which is a game-changer for Mustang enthusiasts looking to make their RTR truly one-of-a-kind.
Mystichrome Returns
Mystichrome is a prismatic, color-shifting paint that made its debut 20 years ago on the 2004 Cobra. It first appeared on the 1996 Mustang Cobra as "Mystic" and was reformulated for the 2004 Cobra. Mystichrome displays a dynamic range of hues, including blue, green, gold, purple, and root beer. This unique paint allows viewers to see different colors from different angles, making it a fan favorite when it was released. However, due to its limited production—around 1,000 vehicles—and the high cost of materials, Mystichrome has remained a rare and highly sought-after option. Now, through the RTR Extended Color Palette, Mystichrome is available again, allowing a new generation of Mustang enthusiasts to experience it.

We are so pumped to introduce the RTR Extended Color Palette and Paint-to-Sample Program! This is more than just a paint job—it’s about giving RTR owners a chance to express their individuality and passion in a way that’s never been possible before on a Mustang," said Vaughn Gittin Jr. "Our team has worked very hard to offer some unique colorways to choose from, and I love all the colors we've curated and made available. Bringing back the legendary Mystichrome paint, last seen on the 2004 SVT Cobra, is my absolute favorite offering. It's been too long, and someone had to do it!”
