Thanks for bringing this up — we totally understand the concern. Some of our 2024+ Mustang components have seen a slight price increase. With all the supply chain challenges overseas, we decided to move production to U.S. suppliers. While this comes with higher costs, it also allows us to proudly say these parts are now made here in the U.S. with even greater quality control and shorter lead times.
OK, slight increase? I don't believe ~48% represents a slight increase.

That said, there IS value in having US made products.

You can't compare an RTR car to a Shelby That's plain silly.
Why not?

Pretty similar list of parts. Same engine and base Whipple kit. Shelby is a available with different fenders/hood but all the "performance parts" are just bast bolt-on you could buy online.

My point is these cars are just mustangs that replace superficial parts with their copy's. At least at one time Shelby had his brand name and his vision of how dealers and car builders could work together. Also his experience and knowledge and dariness from a life of racing was unmatched. However he is dead so all that's left is the brand. Now all we have is over priced bolt on parts and charging stupid money for them.

Shelby can charge more because they have more clout at cars and coffee and Barrett Jackson then RTR.......

Timely thread. I still haven't button-downed what I want out of a 25 or 26 GT; I've been looking at RTR and what a Spec 2 gets me for a premium dollar. I'm OK with 500- HP, so a Spec 3 isn't in the running. Just reviewing all my options before spending a dime.

Just noticed this morning, hot on the heels of the RTR EB announcement, RTR has JACKED prices on their parts to the moon.

Duckbill spoiler: I paid $340 shipped after mil discount, now listed for $499.99. Looks like the same shenanigans on the side skirts etc. Could also be build up to black Friday, but have to say I'm not a fan of the strategy @RTR Vehicles.
But you can pay them only $45.13 per month! That makes it a good deal...... 🤣....and apparently, people really do that! 🙄
