Can you buy from Amazon, Partsgeek, etc?

Most stuff from Rock Auto is half of what the parts stores charge. And some things like brake rotors might be 25% of the retail price!

It would suck to lose the ability to buy cheap parts like that.
Thanks, yeah looking into it. We do have a PartsDirect store nearby (their Full Syn Motorcraft Oil was only 50 cents cheaper than Ford dealership, but they only had 4 qts in stock). In the meantime, one door closed another opened. My local Mopar dealer added themselves back to store.mopar.com (Revolution Auto), used to have to drive to the other side of Phoenix for parts. I had a 2022 Ecoboost with the (rare) 6 speed manual that got rear ended by an uninsured driver, which led me to buying the manual 2024 GT, picking up Jeep parts. I wish Ford had an official online competitive marketplace like Mopar has.

Here’s an example of one of the parts I need for my Jeep:

Mopar 68004085AA Ball Joint Kit
for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK
MSRP$418.00

https://store.mopar.com/oem-parts/mopar-knuckle-ball-joint-kit-68004085aa
$296.31 (local pickup)

Quadratec Part #: 56100-1002 $396.14

Amazon: $267.59
https://www.amazon.com/Mopar-6800-4085AA-Suspension-Joint/dp/B001NYXKKE

RockAuto now $278.79 (was $238.79).

This sucks for big purchases but any routine maintenance items or parts less than $100 not that big of deal. I noticed rock auto charges a lot for shipping and when that was calculated in the total price it would often be more than buying from another online parts store.

Depends on what you buy or how much etc

For some parts rock auto is so much cheaper the shipping doesn't matter

But for a lot of other stuff like oil filters it doesn't make sense unless you're ordering a bunch of them. I'll order two for each of my cars and other cars I work on (my moms car for example)

Then you have to be careful that you don't order something that comes from a different warehouse and adds another $10 in shipping...
