Hi All:

On the S550 verts, the rear sway bar was smaller than on the hardtop due to the extra approx. 180 lbs the vert carries in the back.

The same pattern was true for the handling package. If you want your vert to handle a little more neutral yet appear stock, see if someone can provide the sway bar thicknesses for the rear bar for both the vert and hardtop.

If the same pattern follows for the S650, then an upgrade will help reduce the front end push going around corners, exit ramps, etc. It did help with my S550 vert.

Don't go crazy and upgrade 2 sizes unless you upgrade the front, too (as I did).

Thanks

Why a smaller sway bar with more weight in the rear of the car? Weight causes oversteer and a larger sway bar would exacerbate the issue?

I notice the convertible with the performance package has a smaller sway bar in the front, too. The convertible performance package uses the regular GT non-performance package sway bars, front and rear, which means the front does not change and the rear is 1.7mm larger.

What if you install the larger front and rear from the GT performance package/ Dark Horse?

Would that require trofeos?

I installed the performance pack sway bars front and rear off a coupe. The car is more neutral and does not lean as much.

Don't go overboard with too strong a sway bar without upgrading the rest of your suspension.
