Good morning everyone, I’ve been noticing this metal rattling sound while accelerating, usually anywhere over 4k RPM when temps are over 200 degrees usually after some spirited driving. Anyone have any idea on what this can be? I’ve attached some videos for reference. Thanks!

It certainly sounds like something is loose. Or there's something trapped underneath the car. Could be anything, from a loose/flapping belly pan, suspension, exhaust, etc.

It does not sound like something internal to the engine or the transmission.

If you can, I'd start with a simple, total car inspection. Gain access to a lift, drive-on if possible. With the car cold or cool, put your hand on everything, use a torch to inspect everything, under hood and under the car. Shake, push, check. Afterwards, lift the car in such a way so the suspension is unloaded. Perform the same inspection, especially on the wheel and suspension.

The sound is pronounced enough and easily repeatable. I'd like to think you'll find the issue quickly.

If you have time, let us know what you found out.

Update: a few days after posting this, the car threw a CEL p0430. My new conclusion is that a piece of the honey comb material inside of the cat was on its way out and starting to break and that’s why I was only hearing the rattle under hard driving. After the CEL, I can hear it almost constantly. Taking the car into the dealer tomorrow

I don't hear the rattle in the video's but I do hear a bump every 2 or 3 seconds, like something in your interior is loose. Probably some other sound that I'm hearing.
I think that bump is a sewage grate on the expressway like every hundred or so feet lol, I’ll try and get some better clips of the rattle

Lol, thought so. The first bump that I heard on your video made me even worry. Sounded like your front bumper was loose and you drove over it or somebody closed a door while driving 😂

interesting... left catalytic converter issues? i had that too, caused by an exhaust valve seal on cylinder 7 leaking oil and causing heat damage. please please please let me know what the dealer determines the issue is!
