Question about active exhaust

So, according to Ford the active exhaust adds 6 hp. One question I've had and haven't seen an answer to it yet, does the mode make a difference in the output? Meaning, if I have it in track mode you get the full 486 hp rating, but in quiet mode it would be the same as a stock GT at 480 hp? Or is it the same power output no matter what mode is selected?

I realize we are only talking about 6 hp, so not much difference to be felt, it's more just a curiosity thing.

My impression is that, yes, you get 480 in quiet mode vs. 486 in track mode. If you check out some videos on Active Exhaust, you can see that in quiet mode, there are baffles in two of the pipes that rotate and block them off, basically reducing your quad exhaust down to dual exhaust. If dual exhaust is 480hp, and full quad is 486hp, it seems that largely blocking two of the four pipes with your baffles should take you to about the power output of dual exhaust.
