Put on the Air Design Rear Decklid Spoiler

You guys that installed these wings, did you use the adhesive or just the tape and if so, was it a pain? Also, do you have to rough up the clear coat on the painted trunk before attaching? I am debating on letting Ford install one on mine because my car is a lease and then it would be covered for any warranty issues (if any) if I turn it back in at lease end... TIA...

Tape and adhesive. I followed the directions to a t.

You use the tape and the INCLUDED caulking adhesive. You DO NOT need to scuff the surface. Just clean it with alcohol. The only tricky thing to the install is getting the orientation of the underside of the spoiler to match the curvature of the decklid. This can be tricky when all the adhesive is applied, as you cant really make an adjustment once the surfaces make contact. There is a wax crayon you use to make trace outlines once you have mocked it up with tape and TRIPLE checked the fitment.
