When the Supra first came out, I saw a local dealer had one, asking for *I kid you not* $100k. Sad thing is, someone probably paid it.

markups are not exclusive to Ford. Toyota dealers mark up the Z4 Supra, Porsche dealers mark up the Dakar, i'm sure Acura dealers mark up the Integra, and so on

Search cars.com. There’s plenty of dark horses on the ground that dealers are asking MSRP for which means if you walk in off the street as a buyer you’ll get a discount on it even if you have to ship it back to Georgia for $1000 you’re gonna save a lot of money.

Anyone with the amount of money to buy a car this expensive is a car guy and has bought cars before and he’s going to search online for pricing that never gonna sell this car at that price

That place is the worst. They're one of those dealerships that "buys" their own new cars so they can CPO them to get around manufacturers knowing about their markups.
