The 295's should not be a problem. The Dark Horse uses 19" x 10.5" (front) 19" x 11" (rear) rims with 305/30R19 (F) 315/30R19 (R) Tires. There has been no mention of different bodywork or rear suspension differences between the GT and Dark Horse (Or even the Ecoboost for that matter) other than the Torsen and different ratios. You will just have to make sure and get the correct backspacing to adjust for the wider rim/tire combination.

Just remember that the tire is the long end of the torque arm, and given that the engine is making the same torque regardless of tire, it will make the car feel a bit sluggish overall.

The "cure" is as you state are the optional 3.73 gears.

l remember in years gone by with the hot rodding trend of jacking up the rear with giant tires and wondering why the cars were slower. That's why 3.90 to 4.56 gear ratios were so popular.

Thank you for the reply.

I already placed the order without the PP. Didn't like/need many of the items in the package except the brakes which I added.

Not having the 3.73, I think the only way to add a larger tire would be to make it a bit shorter or at least equal but definitely not larger for the reason you stated.

Given its not a track car, I probably won't go 305s at this point.
