Ordered 5-13-25 not built yet...

I’ve ordered several Fords over the years and I sure as heck never had an 80 priority. Why was such a high number assigned. For retail the usual dealer assigned priority is 11 (or 12, I forget which) to 19. The default when they put in the order is 19, but that can be changed by the dealer. This is your priority within the dealership for getting the build for that model scheduled. Numbers smaller than these are assigned by Ford regional or HQ. I’m no expert, but this is what I have learned over the years.

FYI, my 2025 GT Premium Convertible was ordered early Jan. Priority 19. I asked about a better priority and they said they had multiple allocations for Mustang GTs, that I was one of their preferred customers and it would get scheduled right away. They were talking straight with me. Jan scheduling in mid-Jan for March builds I got my VIN and build date for mid-March. And, that’s when it was built. I was very pleased, plus I did not have to put down any deposit and my price was 4% below invoice.

So much depends upon the dealer sales, and thus their allocations. I was and am very happy with my purchase with my priority 19. 2-1/2 months from order to built made me happy. I guess 80 takes longer.

I think we’ve digressed from providing helpful info to the original question.

It took 10mos to get.
FYI I worked at a Ford dealer for 7 years.

Ordered my 26 early July, got the confirmation email, but no build date yet. Have read others here ordered after mine and have September build dates.

I got a priority 80 because they did not have an allocation at the time I placed the order.

Thank you all for responding !!! I did get some good news from Ford using the email that
DT-GT gave me ([email protected]). Thank you DJ-GT !! Here is what they wrote back within 1 hour of sending. " that's right 1 hour" actually 38 mins .


Hi Brian,

It does appear that your Mustang GT has been produced and it is currently awaiting shipment. Right now, the tentative arrival date is late next week, but please keep in mind that could shift.
