Hello fellow Mustang enthusiasts,

Can anyone tell me what these four round black plastic "buttons" are along the valance of my 2015 Mustang GT Premium Roush Stage 3 Convertible? They are flush with the valance, and somehow I have lost the "button" on the far left driver-side, leaving a very conspicuous and embarrassing hole. Directly inside the hole there appears to be a wiring harness. I tried several Google and YouTube searches and found nothing. I am not sure if these "buttons" are designed to conceal fasteners or parking/backup sensors (my Roush is not equipped with these technologies.)

Any assistance in identifying these "buttons" so I can find and purchase a replacement is very much appreciated! Thanks!

Are they the backup sensors that beep at you if you get to close to something behind you.
Check behind the valance it may have popped out so then you can push it back in,

Hi FarNorth. No, they are not. My Roush only has the OEM backup camera integrated in the decklid. No parking or backup sensors. Thanks.

Looks like the parking distance sensors to me
Hi KeithWalton. My Roush only has the OEM backup camera integrated in the decklid. No parking or backup sensors. I have searched for the button up and behind the valance, but the button has taken leave of my car...Thanks.

Really? Mine has both. Does it not beep at you?
Well, yes. Thank you for that insight! It DOES, in fact, beep when I back up and get within proximity of an object. My mistake in not realizing that! But when I stick my finger through the hole, I can feel a wiring harness. Do you know where I can get replacement buttons?

The dealer will have them. But first crawl underneath and look, it may be just hanging still attached to the harness. Just push it back in.
alternatively use a stiff wire and probe the hole you may find a button!

I will get under the car again today to see if the wiring harness inside the hole is actually a backup sensor, and if so, maybe I can push it back in. Thanks for the feedback! Much appreciated!

Absolutely. I will get under the valance and see if this is the case. If so, easy fix! Thank you all for the guidance!

Ah for a feature you didn't realise that you had! Hopefully it's just been pushed in somehow. They are more likely to do that than come off the loom as well as the bumper.
You're right. They don't look like they are designed to pop "out", more like they pop "in" from the back as suggested. I just hope I can get to it from the back...Thanks!!

It's gonna become a new teenage social annoyance game, walk the parking lot stabbing a stick or finger into the valance.

Update: Cannot get to the sensor up inside the valance. I will need to (at the very least) remove the quad tips, and then I should be able to work with the sensor.

When I remove the quad tips, I want to also remove the factory baffle on the inner tip. Once the baffle is removed, a gasket is required. Do you know if I need a special gasket, or will a standard exhaust gasket do the trick...? Thanks!
