Sounds exactly like my experience!
Hadn't driven a manual in 15 years.

First stall was on the second drive, as I was leaving the window tint joint.
Has only been one other stall since.
Haha yes!!! My first car was a manual and that was about 15 years ago. Since then, very little manual experience. Good thing is, the Mustang's gearbox is very forgiving if you don't nail the clutch 👍 Had some bunny hops too, but it's all part of the learning 🙂

Got mine today!!! 🙂 It was on Tortugas (Brisbane Area). Haven't driven manual for a while, so my driving wasn't the best, but made it home! 😅

Has anyone in NSW with vehicles that were on the Tosca received them yet.
My dealer told me that Ford head office told him that the cars on the Tosca were waiting for the update to the dash screen. That can’t be accurate because I checked my DH on the Ford Au recall link and it is clear of any recalls.
Ford Au tell so many different stories about why there is delivery delays that I cant believe a word they say and my dealer can only tells me what Ford Au tell him.
Very frustrating experience that could have been avoided by communicating the facts and not guess work.

I reckon it’s the same issue that was in QLD and Melb. All cars on Tosca and Tortugas have been quarantined by biosecurity due to contamination (seed and soil). I’m assuming this is because of the long wait to be loaded onto ships at Baltimore. Wish they gave them a rinse before loading! Australia has some of the strictest quarantine requirements, namely due to the threat of Stink Bug from northern hemisphere countries.

Mine is a NSW (Syd Dealer) car, was on the torturous Tortugas, and offloaded in Melb'.

My Dealer emailed me with an update last Monday (as below), stating there are 940 cars still in Quarantine!

"just chased up Ford again this morning and it seems like they are still going through the cleaning and quarantine process on the Mustangs that have landed. Still approximately 940 vehicles still in quarantine.

Ford will be shipping these vehicles back up to PK once they are cleared. Nothing is booked at this stage until all cleaning is done… So unfortunately no cleared ETA yet has been sent."

Even if they could clean 200 cars per week, with 940 Vehicles caught up in this Quaranteen fiasco, it would be very unlikely if we will see our NSW cars in 4-5 weeks.

one cant make this stuff up.. And the lack of communication/transparency from Ford is just downright unacceptable ! To think the Tortugas docked in NewCastle and they didnt offload any cars there...what a waste !

Yep it’s a comedy of errors.
The Tosca docked twice at port Kembla, once at Newcastle for several days and then Melbourne.
These people that work directly for Ford Au just can’t get their facts straight and continue to give out conflicting information, I’m sure they think no one talks about these issues on this forum.
Next they will be saying these cars are contaminated with unicorn manure and still expect us to believe it. 🦄💩

Hopefully the decontamination process will be a simple spray on the chemicals and spray off with water. They should be able to decontaminate at least 6 per hour if they are efficient.

You definitely can't make this stuff up! Tortugas, on it's way to Pt Kembla from Brisbane, actually did a U-turn off Sydney North Head and sailed back to Pt. Newcastle - where it sat off Newcastle for nearly two weeks before finally docking, yet failed to unload the cars - taking them past Pt Kembla and on to Melbourne !

So that would be a maximum of 48 cars per day = 240 per 5 day week, working at an unlikely constant 6 per hour over the week, although Its unlikely they could or would maintain that pace.

These ships turned up when the Qube strike action was going to take place and it caught everyone on the hop. I think Ford tried to find work around but it didn't go to plan, in fact it made things worse for their customers. Sometimes the do-nothing approach works best. Should've just waited out the strike action (which eventually got cancelled).
