Mach 1 Wheels on S650 GT- Fitment Questions

I am late to this thread, but I am running the OEM PP2 wheels and can confirm that they are rubbing very slightly. Car is on the identical FP setup. S65T springs and FP track pack struts. Just put some touch up on the marks until I figure out the best way to fix it. It irks me to roll fenders on a car that isn’t old.

Yes. Lowering the car with those wheels is danger zone for rubbing.

Yeah and I also don’t want to get stuck throwing a ton of money trying to fix the problem either. I had an alignment scheduled for this weekend, but then I read that the 650s camber can’t be adjusted without plates. Whether camber plates fix it, lower aspect tire, etc. Just bad timing

Yes- both Ford Performance and LMR verify the fix for this is the Dark Horse Camber Plates which are what come stock on the DH HP in order to run this exact setup in terms of wheel size.

also I noticed you were not running the extended fender flares…

the key though is the camber plates and the camber during the alignment.

Honestly I think 10" fronts and 11" rears are the perfect set up. I would not go back to the HP wheels.

Even with camber plates, I rubbed SLIGHTLY with HP wheels and lowering springs. The worst part was scraping the bottom of the car on drivways and speed bumps. Going to 35 profile tires greatly helped. But I personally wouldn't do it again.

Well maybe we just run the camber plates and the M-18000-F strut package and call it a day. They are waiting to do the post 305 / 315 wheel tire alignment till tomorrow. Then I’m driving it to StangHi in Crowley for Cody to do what he does for the rest of it. I have all the other parts…

B - those tires are 295/35

I don't know what size tires came on the S550, but the front of my Dark Horse came with 305/30.

That is a difference of almost half an inch in sidewall height, which means almost an inch in overall tire height.

My car has a street alignment, and the Dark Horse handling package comes from the factory with a street alignment, so, while I have the Ford camber plates as OEM, they are not needed to make the 305/30 fit in a stock S650 DHHP ride height car.

Yeah I know, but I wanted to post this because OP was going to be running the same set up that I have and it does in fact rub. I think a smaller aspect ratio and slightly smaller tire, as well as camber plates would probably fix it, but I may just sell this set and look for something else.
