I used the orginal trim ring, but with the grill. Also, the Pioneer bolt holes line up better than Redline. With Pioneer, I was able to use stock holes by just longating holes. With Redline, only 2 line up, other 6 have to be drilled into box in new location.

My son 3d printed a ring that used original holes and then had holes for 6 or 8 pattern
This also helped with the “lip” that lined up b&o speaker. If anyone wants the file let me know.

It's real easy.

1. Pry off the grill cover. Think its 6 different tabs to undo.
2. Then 2 socket type screws.
3. Unplug the black connector. Cut the wires at the terminals of the factory speaker. Now you have that plug you unplugged with 2 ends cut. Just unwrap it from around the speaker..looks like its attached, but it is not.
4. Strip ends and put on Female Quick Disconnect/Spade connector. I used 16-14 Gauge Dorman ones, the 3/16" size(Fits my Infinity Reference 3032CFX). That size slides onto the negative terminal tightly, but I used the same size on the positive one too. Just had to pry up a little bit more open and it slides on the positive one tightly. Crimp both and done.
5. Put it back in. Might have to play with the screw holes a bit to get it to sit flush in the factory location.

It will sound better. I used Infinity Reference 3032CFX thats in this video:
Got same Infinity's in the upper doors too. Great upgrades.

shit lol, any1 in north jersey wanna split those infinity's? im going to order them probably since it seems like a better fit then those other ones

The Infinity's are nice b/c they are high sensitivity and therefore require less power to get loud.
At the same time these are 3-ohm as opposed to the 8-ohm factory speakers(6.5's in doors are 4-ohm factory, rest are 8) so they draw more power from the factory amp, but those particular versions are made for such factory setups.

Same for the AudioControl 6.5's I put in my doors. My installer recommended them as well.
