Four months back, I picked up a 24' GT with around 2800 miles on it. A thousand miles in, I threw on an H-pipe and have been driving like this until 12k miles, which is where it sits now. I'm looking to throw on some long-tube headers, but I keep seeing that issues arise with the CEL light turning on after the installation. I understand that some have fixed this with O2 plugs, but how does this fix work, and how accessible are these plugs?

The fix works by plugging the O2 sensors into the defoulers so that the O2 sensors read properly. For example I bought big daddies O2 senors/mini cats and they work by taking a bit of the exhaust gasses and filtering out the gasses that are toxic before it reaches the O2 sensor so no CEL. I drove from Houston to Dallas catless no problem. Link: http://www.bigdaddiesgarage.com/mini-cat-cel-fix.html

They sell them at AutoZone now, like $11 for the pair. Get the tall ones not the short.
