It's on a public forestry road 80kms south of me. This definitely not Bonneville, check out the road.
I topped out my '87 325i there 30 years ago at 210kmh, and the road was not closed.
Fastest car - 321 kmh, bike - 369kmh. Note the woman with the white McLaren

Beautiful area. That 369 KPH/228 MPH the bike turned is definitely sphincter level speed!

Sure is. Those trees are real close. We did have one of our pro drivers, Owen Evans, crash his Porsche there attempting a speed record a few years back. Very nearly died.
PS. That huge forest is hand sown. Done in the '30's as a depression make work scheme.

What distance do they run to get to the top speed number?

It wasn't clear on the vid. It sounded like 1/4 mile between timers, and either 600 or 800 metres runup.

PS. I was going to give it a shot. But after seeing the rules on clothing, helmets and such, it's looking like an expensive one off.
