Congratulations! Happy for you!

I get the stick, I had to sell my 2007 GT/CS convert 5 speed I loved due to my anxiety of killing it at stop lights. I Never did, but it got to me. Poor girl I will miss her however, I picked up my 2024 GT covert. "Automatic" today. Yes Im an old fart.

Traded in my 2019 EcoBoost with performance package, active exhaust, and red Recaro interior for a 2024 Shadow Black GT with performance package, active exhaust, and magneride.

Do all GT badges say "performance" ? Or is that only on cars with the performance package?

After a nice hour drive back from the dealership, safe in the garage.

Was wondering what your thoughts on the EB vs GT after owing the GT for a few months? I'm going to be getting my first Mustang and have driven both the EB and GT. I will be using this as a daily driver (I'm also in MI). Honestly I think the EB is plenty of car for me but that GT I test drove was really nice.

Just curious as to your thoughts on the two as you have owned both.

I really liked my EcoBoost with the performance package. It was a fun car and was quick and nimble in my opinion.

The GT though is a different car. It is fast compared to the EcoBoost. I went with the GT this time because at the track while I had no problems in the turns keeping up with and outrunning the GT's, they always overpowered me on the straights and I had to give them a point by. So my wife suggested going with the GT for more power and I have been very happy with it. I haven't had it on the track or drag strip yet so am looking forward to seeing how it does with the performance package and magneride.

Plus the difference in exhaust note - the EcoBoost with the adjustable exhaust sounded good, but the GT sounds better.

Thank for the reply. Wondering if you could comment on your mpg's you saw with EB compared to the GT.

Quite a difference actually. The EcoBoost I used to get 26 or 28 mpg driving to my office and could hit 30's on trips. On the GT I am more like 20 to 22, highest so far I think was around 26 mpg on a trip, but enjoy it anyway!
