Well, I went ahead and made the change to the decklid, after having it reworked, I think I’m a lot happier with it this way. Much cleaner. I’ve attached a few new pictures , Also removed the front stripes from the bumper down.

Looks good, lot of patience to get air bubbles out during installation. Curious what or where did you get front fender lips on wheels?
I found the wheel lip molding at Levittown Ford Parts levittownfordparts.com

Not a big fan of strips but that looks great. The only thing I would have done is put a black GT emblem on the back.
