I am looking into buying a 2025 GT convertible. I have noticed in forums and also in rentals that the rear window does not fully close with the top up. I recognize there are workarounds involving silicone lubricants. However, I was wondering if owners of 2025 model can share whether the this issue is still present or if Ford has finally solved this. Thanks!

I had a 22 Mustang Ecoboost Premium convertible. Ordered and put almost 48k miles on it. No such issue.

Now have 25 GT Premium with almost 2k miles. No such issue.

Don't slam the doors. Close slowly. Tell service people how to close doors. 8000 miles on my 2024 GT convertible and no issue.

Still an issue with my 24 GT convertible. Same as with my 2017.

Hi,
We just bought a 2025 EcoBoost premium Mustang in January and only have had the top down a few times.
But I'm not sure what's the problem. So, could you please explain the problem with the convertible top and rear windows?
thanks
Bill

One or both rear windows won't completely close with the top up, leaving a gap between front and rear windows.

It took a couple years for it to happen with my 2017.
