Oh yeah! i see what you're talking about now. The dash is actually a little different than that from the video. Yours goes all the way across right above where the vents are, whereas the video and mine did not.

RIGHT. So at that point I just stopped and put it all back together because I’d be guessing and I don’t believe in working blindly. Additionally, there are retaining clips that are roughly two inches in length that actually stick up through the bottom of each a/c duct into the airway. They secure the wiring harness on the bottom so with that and the premium trim across the top, I wasn’t confident with moving forward. It seems minimally I would have to remove the trim across the top to proceed with removal and I have no idea how the trim is mounted (clips, screws or both) and where the securing points are located.

UPDATE: so, I put on my big-boy pants and tried it again. I succeeded WITHOUT REMOVING THE DISPLAY! Check out the pics!

Nice! Glad to hear that you were able to finally get this done!
I was wondering if this wouldn't be the case when I saw the change to the dash.
It's unfortunate that the video hasn't been updated to reflect the change, but now we know.

Standard GT issue, bright chrome versus dark horse black chrome. Just adds a different look/feel in the cockpit.

Would you say that those parts are satin black?
