We tried to hold out for as long as possible, but how could you resist leaving a Dark Horse stock? So we're starting with our first set of mods, which we believe is something EVERY Mustang 2015 or newer could benefit from. With the IRS new for the 2015 year and brought to the 2024s, there are a few fundamental parts that help you not only put down power but keep it down. In this video we'll go over what exactly those parts are and how they can help you, no matter if your Mustang sees the street or the track!

Streeda.ca gonna put this on for me.

After running my supercharged S5 50 for the last two years, I can tell you without hesitation that having something to stiffen the suspension on launch for higher horsepower cars is definitely an asset. My dark horse will not be a supercharged drag machine. It would still be nice to have that extra stiffness for spirited acceleration.

Just bought Steeda "Stop the Hop Kits" Street Kits Starter 555-4455 for my Dark Horse and now the wait is on for the delivery which maybe expected within 3-4 weeks. Wait and see! Looking forward to the addition to stabilize the hop during the take off!

What’s the best way to install this if you’re not savvy with stuff like that lol. What kind of shop would be best?

I would look for a shop that works on Mustangs. A general repair shop might be OK for brakes and oil changes but suspicion another story.

If you got time on your hands and some basic tools (or a harbor freight nearby) I'd recommend doing it yourself. The parts in this kit should be relatively easy to install and will be a fun experience imo. If it involved springs and shocks that would be a different story but these parts shouldn't be too hard even to a novice. Just watch Steedas video on it and take notes. Of course you do you but I've always found it rewarding doing mods to my car and then tearing through the mountains smiling knowing I made that change.

I ended up getting BMR cradle bushing lockout, irs subframe alignment, bmr irs subframe support bracing and vertical links. So far on the DH it's been great. There is some noise at times but not a lot. But the rear feels more stable and has way more control and feel. Especially with the whipple. I just need to install sway bars and axles.

Does it effect ride quality?
Yup it affects it, but the car in general was already stiff. So after adding the irs stuff. I just feel the road way more. You will also feel bumps a lot more if you hit a bad road lol. But it still doesn't beat you up as much and drives smooth on good roads. However, it increased rear feedback a lot! And traction is great. However, it will increase vibration noises. So you with hear extra noises at times. I just let the exhaust drown that out when it does that. I think the noise was worse after installing but after 1000 miles it's settled in now.
