There's a dry carbon vent at Extreme Online Store for about half the cost of the Shelby version. So, why not? Looks good to me! The bolts on the back are molded into it which is nice! The opening isn't as large as the glossy plastic version, but it uses metal mesh instead of the thicker plastic. Noticeably less hood flutter than with stock still.

I reviewed the thread. Testing in your driveway or driving around on public roads is not going to tell you that this piece cools better than the one Ford installed.

Full throttle at the track for 20-30 minute sessions back to back pushing as hard and consistently as you can possibly push and then comparing the maximum temperature reading will tell you. Better yet if you can swap them back and forth a few times can keep good notes for a reasonable sample size. This is the only condition in which this "cooling" effect matters, anyway.

Testing various aftermarket hood vents against OEM for heat extraction is not the correct test anyway. They were added to the S-650's to reduce front lift. Aero team add thus aero part..... You'll need a wind tunnel to check how well the hood vents perform against OEM.

Edited for clarity.
