so, I installed the spring and this is an absolut game changer. I never felt confident with the oem spring in my launches and every traffic light was hell. the nonlinearity of the oem spring just confused the heck out of me. now there is a consistent linear feel and no more guess work where the clutch point might or might not be. the clutch is now slightly harder overall but that's a small price to pay and doesnt bother me.

Assembly is "easy". Even as as a regular joe this spring can be installed in like 30 minutes. It is extremely annoying to do so because you have to put this 3 part greasy assembly into place while pushing down the clutch pedal. I recommend to use 2 zip ties to keep the spring compressed until it's in place. keep some paper towel at hand so you dont get grease on your trim.

conclusion: if you are like me and struggle with the oem clutch then this mod is a must have. 10/10.
This is interesting, I never heard anyone complain about the clutch on the Tremec.
Is the clutch spring different from Tremec to MT-82?

this is not a complaint about the tremec. in fact the tremec is sublime. this is really only about this weird oem spring. no idea what ford was thinking.
can't tell about the mt-82 because I never used one, but I assume it has the same spring. in fact the complaints about the spring go many many years back on youtube.

Very tempting! 🤔
Even after 18+ months (garage queen, not as a daily driver) I can never get consistent smooth launches off standing starts, or from 1st to 2nd when having some fun.

The S550 clutch spring also came as a kit with perches.

https://www.steeda.com/steeda-mustang-clutch-spring-assist-spring-perch-kit-555-7027.html

Steeda's production description said:
Steeda's ever so popular S550 Clutch spring assist is now available with a Heavy Duty Spring Perch assembly. Therefore eliminating the chances of you breaking the factory one upon installation or removal.
Are the S650 clutch spring perches identical to the S550?
Does the same risk apply to the S650?

Asking because the spring and perch kits are only offered for 2011-2014 and 2015-2023, and not our S650s

The two kits are unfortunately not interchangeable. However, just the spring itself is a game changer.
