Was on the highway for about 45 minutes and reset the trip computer. I got an average of 23.8 MPG on the trip and that was at 88 mph for the bulk of the trip.

Impressive for a NA V8 engine with nearly 500hp.

I had a 1000 mile trip from Kansas City MO to Columbia SC and got somewhere in the high 20s, I think it was like 27 MPG, lost some in hills of TN and traffic in Atlanta.

I'm averaging 21.7 per tank. Best tank was 24.6. Worst so far was 19.6. No track days yet. These are pretty much mixed driving, but I think the 24.6 was probably mostly highway. This is hand calculated, not the "liar on the dash". It is usually about 1 to 1.5 mpg better than my calculated number. I do have the 3.15 rear gear though. I don't floor it everytime I leave a red light, but I don't baby it either. I figure, if I really tried, I could get 26+ mpg on a trip, but that's not what I bought it for. Like the OP, I'm kinda impressed by the mileage the car gets for the power it has. I could only get about 20-21 on my '92 GT really trying and it had a 2.70 (or something like that) rear gear. Never really took it on any road trips though.

You must have been driving pretty spiritedly. I usually got 27-28 if I was just on the freeway on cruise control at 78. 26-27 on a very consistent basis. After the supercharger install..the highest I've gotten for a trip of any decent length is 26.2. Yesterday matter of fact..had a straight shot down the freeway. Now, when I drive like I USUALLY drive that same average is currently at 24.1mpg. Still not bad at all. I have to say, this car does NOT like driving the surface streets, at least as far as gas mileage. I was averaging about 20 but now about 18.

Which supercharger did you go with?

Recently got back from a 900 mile round trip with a little city, about half Interstate and half mountain two lane twisties. Averaged right at 25 mpg. I had planned on holding off the throttle much more but I didn't. People would not move on the two lanes so I did. Lifetime average is almost 20.6 so far and I drive it like I want and don't care what gas costs are.

I averaged about 29mpg on a 2500 mile trip that I made last month from Home in Colorado to northern Idaho. Most of the miles were on backroads (US and state routes) in CO, WY, UT, ID, OR, and WA. Probably only about 300 miles on interstate at 80+mph. Mix of cruising and spirited driving. Note that these cars, like most computer-controlled fuel-injected engines, get better gas mileage at these higher elevations as a result of the thinner air and a leaner mixture of fuel. Yes, you lose horsepower also, but it still has plenty.
