I am eyeing either corsa sport axlebacks (which is corsa xtreme mufflers) or borla atak (would only put on the mufflers). I dont want something too loud which is why I would just change axlebacks. I like the tone of corsa but it is too loud to me when its a full catback. However, borla atak sounds good too. But they only sell it as a catback which is a bummer. I've seen a few videos on corsa xtreme. Theres way less on borla atak. Trying to hear just axlebacks if anyone have that instead of the catback.

I would start with an X or H pipe. that's the best 200 bucks you can spend in that department. Odds are you are happy with that. If not, then you can add the axel back mufflers. I love my X pipe its deeper than stock at IDLE and about 30% louder in all. on pure exhaust note I don't think you can beat Borla if that's the first thing you are going to do. They have sound clips on their web site.

You could have gotten the Active Exhaust and had all of them at a touch of button.

Going for a H-Pipe is already a way loud (if you don't have the active valves, it could be already an issue in calm areas or during the night), anything beyond that will certainly be "too loud". But it depends of what you mean with "too loud".
It may be where I leave (Europe, countryside area), but in "race mode" (H-pipe, open valves), ppl can hear me arriving (leaving) Kms away (it's not an exaggeration). Sometime I'm worried of what you US chaps are doing with this cars. :inspect:

If you don't want 'too loud' don't get either the Atak or Extreme
Which is why I wouldnt go full catback. I would go corsa sport catback but they dont make it for s650. I liked this setup. Its corsa sport axlebacks with resonated xpipe. I think I like how it calms the raspiness as well. Not saying corsa is bad in raspiness though.
I also heard borla stype with resonated xpipe. It sounds good but was curious on how atak would sound.

I do have active exhaust. But still wanted to see options before buying since they're pretty costly now.

I just installed the Thermal R&D on my 2024. I bought this because I absolutely loved it on my 2018 GT.

No drone, not loud with light throttle, but sounds like a big block Chevy with that deep throaty rumble. Idle is awesome.

But lay into it and you can't stop; it'll rip with heavy throttle.

It's a full 3", 304 stainless cat back with resonator for under $800.00, what a freakin' deal.

I typically will go catback with the less loud option vs the axleback with the more aggressive option. This gives you more options down the road if you modify the rest of the exhaust.
With that being said, im a huge advocate for corsa on these cars.. it sounds amazing.

Let us know if we can help out.

What I did was go to an exhaust mfg. web site. In my case MBRP. I let my browser find some discount codes and now I've got an active exhaust cat back for cheaper than any other online store.

Why not? The midpipe is nothing than a tube. What people doesn't know is that also the stock resonator is just a tube, but with holes (and a chamber around it). It has no technical function than reducing the exhaust noise.

You know what I did in Canada as far as exhaust tone goes. I put on the Borela cross fire pipe and a Whipple supercharger on it. So now it sounds great.
