Hey all, just wondering if my S650 Gt V-8 is normal? This is the hottest “temperatures“ car Ive ever owned. 79 degree day yesterday and just highway cruising at 60 mph with auto trans:
cyl head temp 217, oil 233, trans 209. Is this what you are all seeing? I have a Ram 1500 with the 5.7 Hemi and it is typically on the highway : coolant 199, oil 198, trans 180. Love my new Stang! but she sure runs hot!!

Super normal temps if it’s 80 plus outside, my whipple car sees similar in traffic etc…
Non pp no extra coolers. These newer cars like heat in them, they’re not like old SBFs with 160 thermostats.

Yep, hot as hell but she likes it. Mine runs like a beast once it hits temp. Like yours for me normal driving gets me in the 200 range. In fact when I push it harder I can get the cylinder head temps to drop, cooler kicks in I guess. That is the only one I am really concerned about. I asked on here and my dealer and so far been told it's normal, I guess. I have plenty of warranty time to find out..

This thing really needs a much bigger heat extractor IMO, mine gets ridiculously hot under the hood.

Ditto all. Hot car that doesn’t bleed heat quickly…
Just came back from a short jaunt, not pushing the vehicle at all:
Oil: 240
IAT: 170 at the end

Lots of differing opinions but I never push a vehicle when it’s too hot out, or the rig itself is holding too much heat.

Ordering the oil cooler today.

Yeah, that oil getting to 240 is just asking for a cooler. Super hot oil is not good for viscosity, my 5.7 Hemi V-8 in my Ram truck has never gotten the oil temp to 240, and that’s pulling trailers or driving through Arizona!
