Getting a new one in seems harder than getting the old one out.

I just had the pleasure of changing mine. The only hard part was getting that damn plastic cover back in place.
The glove compartment itself was surprisingly easy to remove. Pull up on the right hinge, and it pops out. Push in on either side up top, and it comes right out.

The air filter cover is the issue. Even with a light, it's so cumbersome to get that back plastic hinge in place; you've got to fumble around till you get lucky.

OEM filter was $32. Need a Torx T20 bit for the screw.
