GPS MAP

How do I get the GPS map to stay on the screen after i start the 24 mustang GT premium? If i back up out of a parking space or the garage the map disappears and does not reappear unless I touch the button on the top left. How can the map appear automaticly without touching the button on the top left?

When you back up, the reverse camera view will superimpose on the center screen. This happens as soon as you put the transmission in reverse.

Depending on your config options, once you put the car in drive
- if you opted for the rear camera delay, it will stay superimposed until a few miles per hour and revert to previous screen.
- if you don’t have the reverse camera delay enabled, the view will revert as soon as you put the transmission in drive.

It sounds like what you are talking about the “home” button. The camera view will disappear on its own - unless you have some kind of bug going on.

If you keep the Navigation screen up like me, rather than the default home screen, this should not change, but if you try to escape from the camera view by hitting home, you then need to re-select Navigation by touching the map section of the home screen.

As a side note I have Waze (CarPlay) on most of the screen and Sirius on the right side. As long as I have my phone with me, it sticks that way except for reverse as you've explained.
One item though, if I change my station by using the BT button on the steering wheel followed by a voice command, Waze disappears and I have to tap the big phone icon to get it back. However if I use voice wakeup command "Hello Ford" and then say "play Sirius channel 7", the Waze screen will return by itself.

That should be reported to your stealership. They likely cannot fix it, but, they should have a mechanism in place to report it.
