So I'm about to pull the trigger on a set of 20" wheels but am drawing a blank on finish; not finding Google to be too helpful.

My previous S550 was carbonized grey which was easy to pick for. Satin Black Steeda Trident's (19x10 and 19x11). No problem.

The Dark Horse is Oxford White and for the life of me I can't find any pictures of them with either Gloss Black or Satin Black rims.

Anyone else out there run across this first world problem?

* yes, it wil be lowered a little with Steeda Magneride Sport Progressinve springs

I vote satin. Gloss will show the slightest bit of brake dust and you’re doing
#DarkHorseThings with your Dark Horse Mustang, brake dust will be a thing.

If you do go with gloss, you will need a specialty license plate that reads pew pew
to pay homage to your storm trooper edition MDH

;-)

That is what my girlfriend calls it. "When is the Stormtrooper thing being delivered?!"

I'd get a plate that says "CANTHIT", or "BADAIM" or "CANTAIM"

I say go with the satin. Like smurfslayer said, these shed some brake dust plus I think it’ll look better too.

I picked up a set of satin black Velgen Classic5 and getting them thrown on tomorrow. I’ll post a pic then to give you an idea.

19s? 20s? Please do. I'll hold off ordering until sometime this weekend. My DH was supposedly delivered but the dealer hasn't called me yet today (or texted) to say its in and the status etc.

They're 20s and I know that feeling of being so close to the finish line but having to wait to cross it. The good news is if it’s delivered, the PDI should be done by tomorrow and you can hopefully take delivery.

I have Gloss Black Vossen's that are ceramic coated and they don't show brake dust nowhere near as bad as the stock black PP wheels. They don't look dirty like the stock wheels, they look more bronze when they need a wash.

I vote Gloss Black!

when you throw PPF on the hood that satin/matte becomes gloss
You have a few options with that. Check with your installer on using matte clear over the striping itself, regular gloss in other areas. It is more expensive to apply different cuts and finishes, but available for those who'd like.

I don't mind the hood graphics being gloss as I have a gloss black roof wrap going on the car; the spoiler is sorta gloss and there is gloss in the bumper area as well as satin/matte.

I vote for gloss black. Easier to clean than a satin finish. Mine came with satin wheels and I replaced them with gloss black. Had gloss black on both of my Z06's, which were Arctic White.

I'm torn. I'm holding off actually checking out until after I see a pic of someone who is installing some black rims on their Dark Horse today; different wheel type but the wheels are black and the Dark Horse is white so will give me a good idea.
