I realize this is very minor but it’s been fueling my OCD. Does anyone have a fuel door that doesn’t close flush with the body of your car? Of the other ones I’ve seen (which has been 2) they sit flush or even recessed.

I would ask your dealer if they can adjust......

That is pretty bad....I would think an adjustment could be made though....

I understand. If you fuel your car a few times a week and you see it every time you get in your car, it would be annoying. Have the dealer adjust.

Thanks guys. I obsess over things like this and struggle with knowing if I’m going too far with it. There are certainly worse issues to have but hopefully they can adjust. I texted the dealer.

Hi there! Will you send us a message with your VIN and your local Ford dealer? I can look into things on my end.

Thanks for the reply. The dealer I bought the car from already has me in for an appointment today at noon. Impressed with how on top of it they are.

Airlobo,
That would drive me crazy. You are not wrong about this. It should be a relatively easy adjustment. I have a DH with very minute scratches on the front point of fascia. It's Blue Ember. Everytime I walk past it it just really bothers me. But I don't want to have the dealership repair. Factory paint is better IMO than a repaint. So I understand how you feel. I cover it because I done want my GSD putting his nose on it. 😂

Very happy to see an official reply from Ford! At the risk of going off-topic, any replies @Ford on what the deal is with the cutout is on the front wheel wells? Is a factory fix forth-coming? We have a variety of DIY fixes here (I bought one) but knowing there is an official fix to the sand/gravel/rust issue behind each front wheel would be reassuring.

Absolutley beautiful car. Wow. Love the color combo. I absolutely feel your pain about the scratches. My wife has banned me from using flashlights because I’ve been known to use them to find blemishes. Not good for my mental well being. Lol. I was so close to pulling the trigger on a DH in shadow black but I knew my OCD would drive me crazy keeping the black maintained. Ultimately went with a white GT with the PP, NPP, active exhaust etc.

I had this issue somewhat. It used to sit flush then I noticed it didn’t, and I believe it was cause I didn’t give it a firm push when closing because now it sits flush again each time I fuel up 😅 I was thinking of maybe getting it adjusted if it happened again.

Airlobo,
Reading your reply is like reading my autobiography. I used to remove each wheel and clean and polish the back side on a weekly basis even if not driven. And yes the car is black I ordered it as well as my DH. It's the reason I got Blue Ember, but it's just as hard to keep clean. Here's a picture of my other car I let sit in the garage.
