Like the C8 and the DH. Why are you trading? C8 is my “affordable” dream car. When I find the one I want (at a decent price) or can afford the extra $$ to order one I will be trading in the DH.

C8 got boring quick. I need a manual transmission in my sports cars. For a daily driver I can understand liking an auto trans but I have another car for my daily so I needed something more involving. Also I bought the car for 70k CAD brand new and I sold it for 110k. It was a 40k I couldn't ignore.

Just the 40K alone I can understand! I would do that in a heartbeat with my DH. I don't think that will happen though with this car. But I have always wanted a C8 convertible. I do not like soft tops so the mustang convertible is out. And they are not making a DH convertible anyway. Who knows maybe the DH will blow me away and I will not want the C8.

I agree. An auto shouldn't even be an option in a sports car.

I used to drive a 10 speed daily in NJ as a local driver and it never bothered me, even in the insane bumper to bumper traffic jams.

There is something about the connection you have to what you are driving with the manual gear changes.

I understand the autos can shift faster and blah, blah, blah. Personally, I don't care. I enjoy the interaction and can't bring myself to own an auto sports car. I drove a 19 or 20 GT as a rental in Daytona and it was horrendous. The car was low mile and had plenty of power ect. The way the computer shifted made no sense to me and the rev matching was not beneficial driving through town, it was just a cop attractor.

I can shift just fine without a clutch so the rev match just seems like a crutch to me.
