It’s a great tone, pretty loud but not obnoxious. (Hence why I didn’t do much revving since I was at work)

Thank you. Would you say FP normal mode equates roughly to stock in sport?

Yes, i would say the volume of normal mode with the FP exhaust is in between sport and track on a stock exhaust *at idle*, anything over 3,000rpm is definitely louder than any mode with stock exhaust.

Are these tips hard to keep up with? Planning to get this same exhaust, but everyone seems to have issue with these tips. They're never looking straight or aligned lol

I had the alignment issue with my Camaros Borla exhaust. You need two people. One holds in place and the other torques.

I'll be getting mine installed at an exhaust shop, i'm just scared the alignment doesn't look good later on lol, I'm trying to have it be as good as the stock alignment - but most of the pictures/videos i've seen, one is always lower than the other one or they're weirdly looking 😭

Thats what i thought before i ordered them but after the install they do not look as bad in person, especially at eye level. Since the FP tips are pretty big, like 5", the DH diffuser is designed to accomodate these larger tips while also giving the exhaust the "wiggle room" it needs. Because of this you can see a little of the muffler through the cutout for the exhaust on the diffuser which makes it look more misaligned than it actually is. If you're curious to see any other angles of the exhaust just let me know and i can post pics.

I would love to if you could, I’m pretty scared of how they’re gonna fit 😭. I like the stock look but I know these tips are bigger and stick out a little bit more lol

apologies for the dirty car, weather’s been crazy here in MI, yesterday was 84° and sunny today was 45° and rainy.

Fits like stock, I like it. I’ll definitely be asking for this fitment when I get mine done. I’m getting the black tips. I have vapor blue as well, best color in the lineup 🤪

I recently installed a F.P. Sport (non-active) by Borla W/Dark Horse rear valance. I'm OCD about tip alignment and how far the tips stick out or in for that matter. More on "in too far" below.
A little advice for the OCD minded people.

1. Almost guaranteed you will not get the tip adjustment perfect the first time around i.e., during initial install. I did not. I was tired towards the end and was just happy to get the exhaust and Dark Horse valance installed.
2. It's hard to adjust perfectly when your close to the back of the car. You have to get back 15' or 20' feet to really see how close you are.
3. In my case that was after lowering the car off my Quickjacks and then pulling out of my garage to get a view from farther back.
4. I left it as installed for a couple of weeks prior to fine tuning the tip alignment. My car is not a daily driver and did not move for those 2 weeks.
5. There have been threads on tip alignment before and as others have stated tip to tip levelness (if you will) is adjusted by loosing the front and rear clamps and twisting the tips which in reality twists the muffler too. That's what I did, and is good advice. Get it where you want and retighten.
6. Twisting only allows you to get the tip to valance distance equal from tip to tip on the same side. It will not help if one side is lower or higher than the other.
7. Others have stated you cannot adjust the overall clearance between the top of the tips to the valance. And while not easy it certainly can be adjusted. Doing so requires an exercise in patience. This adjustment requires removing the muffler tip assembly and carefully bending the welded on muffler support hanger up or down depending on what your needs are. I got really close on the first adjustment 2 weeks after install.
8. My tips were also to far in so I had to slide out some where the exhaust meets the x-pipe where the new clamp is installed (back of x-pipe). When I initially installed the exhaust I pushed every connection as far in as possible which turned out to be too much.
9. Installing the exhaust is fairly straight forward and not really hard assuming one has the means to get the car high enough to work under it.
10. If choosing a muffler shop to do this for you choose wisely and discuss your OCD prior to install. Also discuss their willingness to make a fine tune adjustment after the initial install if required.
