Hi everyone,

its my first topic on the forum,
I've also 24 Mustang GT PP from Canada & imported it to EU,
I've to thank @GrabThatBlue about his topics & helps on the PMs

while I'm researching, I found that ForScan_Beta also make firmware updates, does anybody tried it?
I'm asking this to change our APIM & TCU modules with the EU strategies.

My Apim & TCU modules part, calibration & strategies like below.

TCU - Telematic Control Unit Module
Part number: RU5T-14H074-FAH
Calibration level: RU5T-14H074-FAH
Strategy : SU5T-14H085-ZM

APIM - Accessory Protocol Interface Module
Part number: SU5T-14G670-BEE
Calibration level: SU5T-14G670-BEE
Strategy : PU5T-14G676-DA
Calibration: MU5T-14G677-ABA

is there anyboyd to have EU Mustang GT & share these datas?

so I can download it by forscan & try if it makes complete EU conversion or not

thank you

Be aware that APIM firmware is generally updated via a USB Drive. You can’t get those files via ForScan. You would have to get those files from someone or FDRS. So far, I have not been able to get the firmware from one car to update another. The firmware files are accompanied by a manifest.

Also be aware that updating firmware via Forscan has an inherent risk of bricking the module being updated. I highly recommend getting a nice USB cable (needs to support j2354 if you want to use fdrs as well). I also recommend attaching the car to a battery tender while pushing the update.

You cannot update the APIM without FDRS. Forscan wont do it even with the beta versions. FDRS does some special function to trigger the update through USB. Ford locked this down a little more probably due to what happened with SYNC 3.

SYNC 3 is pretty much broken wide open at this point. People were able to exploit the USB firmware flashing to write custom code effectively making it fully customizable.

I have been corrected by a member who's much more knowledgeable (thank you @arcangelmk lol) There is no special trigger from FDRS. My fault!

This may actually be something that we have to dig into more. With the DH SC APIM, it made me use USB. However, trying to get the USB files for @bbowes9 it didn't. Maybe because it is the same modules. However, funnily enough, it updates my GWM fine, but for his GWM update, it required him to make a USB drive. Either way, FDRS would be a requirement for the APIM unless you already have your files on USB.
