Not Mustang specific.
If you love your Ford Mustang, like to think about 'stuff', and have a spare 55 minutes, this is worth the watch.
Even more so if you are American, as the ramifications of what is unfolding will affect you even more.
As an S650 owner (and soon to be Next Gen Everest) I sincerely hope Ford, as we know it, will still be around in 5 - 10 years time.
From the transcript 50:08:
"If the Chinese tsunami hits, or if the auto-loan bubble bursts, the legacy Ford Motor Company will sink.
And when it does, they will leave the husk of the legacy business—along with its massive debts—to the taxpayers for a bailout.
But because they built the Foxconn Firewall... the California Ark survives.
By folding the old EV division back into the dying mothership, but keeping Alan Clarke and the Skunkworks team completely isolated, Ford is protecting the blueprint.
