Sounds like your dealer hasn't done one yet ...
I do need to check in with mine to see how they got on with the first one they started last Friday. Mine is booked in for an 8:30 in the morning start, it's only listed as checking to see if it needs the fix rather than applying it.
Yes the nice young lady said mine was the first one they had booked in.
All seems very odd though -the call I first made was about the Vin letter actually received of which she had no knowledge but then when talking she mentioned the second one which I had no letter for.
Using the online portal there is also only mention of the Vin one.
As you say it sounds like the BCM one may be a look at before deciding and of course until the garage gets the revised sticker they cant do that anyway ?!
I've emailed the service manager as whilst not bothered I think I need to change the date as can just see issues with this !

My free trial came to an end and I didn't extend it. Good thing I didn't if they're shutting it down 3 months later??

Just checked the app tho and seems that I have the BCM recall. Nice to have been notified about it and not hidden deep within an app. Oh wait
I got a notification from the app and an email about the recall

It does specifically say 'inspection' on the UK recalls. If the inspection reveals no evidence of water ingress then pretty sure that will be it.

Mine is in for its first service and the recall inspection on Monday. Will report back how it goes.

Mine was in for its first service today and they reviewed the recall while it was there.

It definitely needs it and frankly it's pretty appalling. The factory used some sort of chemical seal around the scuttle, beneath the windscreen, to protect what's underneath, including the BCM, from water ingress. They basically forgot or didn't realise they needed to seal the whole offside, so the solution is to prise the windscreen up and smear a windscreen bonding agent all over the steel down there.

The tech at my dealership described it as a 'horrible mess to do', and advised I wait a few months in case Ford come up with something better. As it's about to go into the garage for the winter, I'll wait until the spring and see where we're at then.

Sounds like a right bodge to me.

Mine was also in for its first service today. Car needs to go back in to have the recall sorted, but they are waiting for availability from a specialist company to remove and re-fit the windscreen. It seems the RHD fix is different to the LHD fix which has widely been discussed on these forums?

That's why I don't plan to do mine before the spring at the earliest. Plus, I want to make sure they have done many before they do mine. Also, I doubt I will let them touch my windshield! Glenn

There does seem to be a lot of inconsistent feedback here. The US fix doesn't involve windscreen removal, just the lifting of the trim / seal at the bottom of the screen to ensure the caulk gets in there. I'm in no rush to get mine done.

You cannot prise a windscreen up, what they do on the US fix is prise up the trim seal at the bottom of the screen. If you prise up a windscreen it will break as the bonding compound will not give.

When I did change my date (now month end ) to have both the VIN label and BCM initially looked at the Service Manager who arranged this said by then they would have received all parts necessary should they be required.
When I called originally the young lady in service said they would organise a "windscreen person" to be present.
Frankly it all sounds very "Heath Robinson " and unprofessional but maybe I'm giving Ford too much credit in thinking it would ever be different ?!
Hopefully it will all be fine and in fairness I still love the car !

Mine is now booked in for the recall work on the 19th. They've got a windscreen company coming in to do it, which seems like overkill from what I've seen of the recall work instructions. But at least it will probably be done correctly. Well, here's hoping.

Just picked it up after having the recall work done. Hood up and the only visible evidence of the black sealant is through the holes left and right on the cowl, where it looks neat. Probably not going to take the cowl off to have a proper look because I can do without the stress if it's a messy job!

Yeah! That's why I'm not doing mine until the spring. The stress would probably put me over the edge. If the mechanic were a Mustang owner, I would probably feel more comfortable having it done. I'm sure a Mustang owner would care enough to do a good job! Glenn

Glad it went well !
Did they have to prise up the windscreen etc ?
