My free trial came to an end and I didn't extend it. Good thing I didn't if they're shutting it down 3 months later??

Just checked the app tho and seems that I have the BCM recall. Nice to have been notified about it and not hidden deep within an app. Oh wait

Yeah, my recall was hidden away in the app. No other notification. But it is Ford, so...

I saw it in the app first but the next day received the notice in the mail. Glenn

Haven’t received any BCM notice / letter ( is it just for pre 25 builds ?) but have received a letter saying the VIN label contains incorrect homologation details and therefore the car doesn’t meet regulatory requirements !
Easy quick visit but didn’t want to book in to find later advice of whatever the BCM recall is ?

Recall is for builds up to July 14th 2025.

My dealer started their first recall work on Friday shall see how it went, I'm booked in but it's a month's wait due to shortage of loaner cars.

You say ford are bad ... Mercedes are worse. Took an 8 year old car in for it's service and was told only when I dropped it off that it had an outstanding recall (it sees them every year) if I had it serviced anywhere else I wouldn't of known. It wasn't that long ago they did the ecall recall either.

Just phoned the garage to be told it would also need the 25C43 ( BCM ) recall doing ( no letter received ) and as yet they had no details of the Vin label issue.
It sounds like the first recall involves taking out and replacing the windscreen which I assume is what you already knew ?
Car booked in for a few weeks time.

What is Ford Secure?
It was a paid for vehicle tracking thing. If you reported the car stolen, ford would tell the police where the car was last seen. Might of been able to remotely disable the car as well. You could geofence the car so if it went out of area they'd call you.

I had never hear of Ford Secure until this post.

As for the recall, I saw it in the Ford (Pass) app, CarFax app, and received a letter from For one the solution was available. FIRST PLACE I saw it was on this forum.

But you're serviced by Ford America and we're serviced by Ford UK (as indicated by this being a UK thread). To my knowledge Ford UK hasn't sent any letters out, the only indication was in the Ford Pass app. A recall issued by Ford America isn't automatically replicated in other territories. And Ford Secure appears to be a European-only thing.

There was hope that RHD cars weren't effected by the recall but nope we've got it. It seems that Ford UK only send out recalls when they have the fix ready to apply. It's been known on this forum for months but only in the last few weeks has the reworks been started.
Bit odd that we have to pay for the insurance on the cover car.. but dealer said it's not a courtesy car anymore but a 'hire car' that they hire out for free.

Just looking at some of the US Threads and it seems that the windscreen doesn’t need a replacement but just “moving “ ?
The nice lady at service didn’t know anything about the recall as such but just said it needs a new windscreen as part of the fix which seems to involve a load of additional sealant ?
And they would need the car for the day to allow cure time.
Keith , you seem to know much more about this - is she right ?
We are going away the day after and I didn’t want there to be any last minute surprises over pick up.

Sounds like your dealer hasn't done one yet ...
I do need to check in with mine to see how they got on with the first one they started last Friday. Mine is booked in for an 8:30 in the morning start, it's only listed as checking to see if it needs the fix rather than applying it.
