I’m new to this supercharger game. I’m only looking for bang for buck here in terms of $$$$.. In one of the previous threads someone mentioned paying for ESS turbos with all the necessary mods or upgrades like airinlets n fuel system it’ll cost more than Whipple stage 2 but with less power. Already have headers installed so that would throw out option for turbos I heard. Can someone who has understanding on this help?

I hear there's a difference between the Whipple and Ford Whipple kits. LMR would let you know. My dad had one. But not sure which.
I wonder if the difference is the warranty and power. I've seen a lot online saying that the Whipple Stage 2 is 875HP and the Roush Phase 2 is 810. But the dealer told me both were 810, and sold me on the Roush based on reliability. So I'm wondering, maybe the Whipple with WARRANTY is 810 as well while the 875 version is the same unit, but no warranty and that extra 65 HP? I don't know.

ESS is a supercharger, not turbo, and there's only one in the kit, not two. It mounts on the front of your engine where the belt drive is, not in place of your intake manifold like the Whipple

Yes, Stage 1 is the only one available with the warranty and it has less hp than stage 2

I know their website offered the warranty before the tuning became unlocked and still shows that it does but curious as to how the new unlocked tuning will impact the prochargers
Typically the warranty included with the supercharger requires you to use the provided tune, not getting one from your favorite tuner.

I read somewhere that the superchargers warranty only resides with the manufacturer warranty. For example, if you have 3 years on your ford warranty and 2 years goes by, you get a supercharger it only last for the final year that the ford warranty would go with. Not sure if this is true or not, just what I read and would love to confirm or deny this.

I've also read that. Guess it's best to save and get a car that comes with an SC, and is known to clean up the mustangs at the strip. It's no wonder people hate these cars. Mustangs just can't seem to catch them.

CT5 V Blackwing. Was the car I was going to purchase before I decided on two GTs for hubby and myself.
Well, maybe if it's well tuned, but not stock and with it's stock SC. 650HP, I believe...and heavier. Still, with a much bigger displacement engine I'm sure you can push one further. Gonna cost you a LOT more as well, if that's a consideration at all.

I had actually planned on one of the new chargers with the dual turbo V6. I liked my charger before. But...they withdrew orders at the dealerships. Apparently having issues with Catalytic converters melting and other electronic/timing problems. Said won't be till late this year and more likely into mid/late NEXT year. I hadn't owned a Mustang before...never thought of them. I'd seen some in the 80's and they weren't impressive to me. Seemed very plastic. But I was very pleasantly surprised with this one and loved the lighter weight and power. So planned on adding the blower when I was spec'ing this one. Next Wednesday I'll have it in to get done. Looking forward to it!
