I have corsa xtreme. It was a bit too much for me as well so I added 1792 vibrant resonators. I don't have the double x. I have steeda x and the corsa axlebacks which is pretty much just corsa xtreme. Imo, the vibrants calm it a bit too much to me. I was thinking of doing those corsa resonators, the smaller ones. Since they are smaller than the vibrant ones I currently have, I'm assuming it won't quiet it down as much but still tame it vs without any resonators.
I'm told the Corsa Pro Series resonator that I referenced is supposed to bring down the sound levels 2-3 decibels. Corsa themselves tell me I won't hear much difference but I should hear a more cleaner, deeper and refined sound. That's what I'm hoping for. I have them on order to be installed next week. The Double HH pipe length to the back muffler pipes gives too little room this resonator size is my only option. I will post a clip after installation to hear by everyone.

See this clip where I found that 3 inch 2-3 decibels reduction

Hmm i would think the vibrant resonators would fit but who knows. Let me know how it goes. Because I was about to order the corsa resonators but I rather wait to see how yours sounds first. Yeah, i saw the video before. It did look like it helped a bit. I think the corsa resonators will help it. Im hoping it does bring down the volume a bit though as well.

My only option was to switch mufflers to borla stype if none of those helps.

I just bought the small resonators. ETA for delivery is Saturday. If it comes early, I might try to get them installed later that day. But if not, wont be able to until Wednesday.

This is off road longtubes, into the jones max flow 3” resonator/muffler, into factory active on quiet

Great sound there. If that is quiet I can imagine how good the active track or normal setting would sound. Are you running a resonator delete as your mid pipe?

No, I’m running the jones max flow dual 3” muffler as my resonator, into my stock active exhaust

Want quiet and performance, I mean of the rocketship kind? Saleen GTX. They may not hear you, but when you open it up it sounds like a F-16. Quiet like a Ninja, and explosive as thermonuclear device. 795 little horses.

I ended up adding the Corsa resonators to my corsa axlebacks and steeda xpipe setup. I had vibrants before and Corsa resonators toned it down but not as much as vibrants did. Vibrants, imo, took away the tone a bit more than I like. Corsa resonators are better to me

Cold start with the new Corsa pro series packed resonators 3 inch.

Apologies the delay in posting.

Hi all

I am looking for opinions to suggest a suitable resonator to help me clean up my sound and reduce decibels marginally.

On my manual transmission Mustang GT 24.5 I have upgraded my factory exhaust system to a 3 inch Corsa Xtreme Valved Exhaust System/Dual in/Four out CAT backed system with a Corsa double HH Pipe resonator delete.

There is no doubt you can hear the difference in sound levels. My goal was to increase the sound levels to get that old muscle car rumble and deeper note. Unfortunately it is a little too much, at cold starts it is the worst and just sounds like plain annoying noise. I will say I get no in cabin drone which is great and probably helped by the double HH pipe. After take off and warm idles the sound balances out a little more. I am not getting that nice tone with the increased sound I was hoping for. With my wife and family now noticing this and commenting, I need to make a change.

I would like suggestions on which resonators out there you could suggest that will help me clean up this excessive and annoying noise at cold starts, idle and a bit of sound reduction at full throttle? I don't mind losing some of the pops with the high to low rev/gear changes.

I was considering a high flow inline resonator and if anyone has purchased a resonator below from Lethal Performance that could be suggested:

"Old muscle cars" were big blocks and they sounded like big block engines. Your Mustang is a small block 302 ci engine.

Getting it to sound like a big block engine is not going to happen through a 3 inch system. From past experience with a 350 ci, small block Chevy, it sounded like a small block with a 3" system so I reverted back to 2.5" like it ran and sounded best with. That is what's going on when people go to 3" systems that just aren't needed and, in fact can cost HP if you study the facts.

I see nothing wrong with the sound of a 5.0 Mustang on "Sport Mode" for the exhaust. It sounds like what it is. What it is, is what it is.
