Ford isnt like Tesla, so things still have a redundancy. your safety has no priority with Tesla. anyways, electronic power steering is just an assist, and even if the assist goes out, you still have control of steering, just un-assisted. for electronic power assist brakes, there is a redundancy there too; pressing the brake hard enough will activate a bypass valve to get fluid to the calipers, just like if there was no assist at all. i already covered the parking brake, it will attempt to fail to a known state if it thinks that is the appropriate measurethis is one of the things that scares me also. electronic power steering, electronic parking brake, electronic power assist brakes. there's got to be something in place right? car manufacturers been doing this for a while. I still leave it in first gear when parked though just in case
