Has anyone had trouble putting the top up? I could not get it to work until i raised all the windows and then it worked.

Ours won't go all the way up unless the windows are down. I just tried it with the windows up, and when I pushed the rocker to put the top up, it rolled the windows down first.

Last summer, I was unable to put my convertible top up. It was totally unresponsive. By luck, I put the windows down all the way and back up. When I tried the roof after that, it worked fine again. No issues since.

I had the same issue with my 24 GT and the only thing I can think of is some sensor didn't know where the windows were and so it refused to put the top up. I was getting worried because i could see rain coming and it would not go up. my son suggested rolling windows up and then it put them down and top came up. Only happened 1 time in over a year.

Someone posted once that the sensors for the fill in panels are still there even though Ford does not ship them with the car or even list them as a PN for the 7G cars, although the 6th gen car inserts fit and even then Ford stopped supplying them with the car due to concerns about the inserts rubbing against the canvas and damaging it.

But on my car, which is a 401A car, trying to raise or lower the roof causes all windows to go down before the roof will move.
