Does a cat delete send into limp mode

At this point in my life, I wouldnt remove the cats for and NA car. The smell and headache's (pun intended) from having to pass emissions with no cats is a pain. Not worth the gain. Now on boosted cars, its almost necessary so when you eventually destroy them, they dont wad up and push pressure back up into the cylinders and snap off a ring land. For NA, you can still make good power with them in place. Just not max effort power.

And no you wont trigger a limp mode.

I don’t even think the software companies allow the parameters for that to be touched now.

just remember to do it before you take the cats off as 2010 + permanent codes cant be tuned out once its there you need to complete many drive cycle with it passed for the permanent code to clear

I am reading your post and asking why?

You are not likely to pick up anything by removing them from an otherwise stock car and no headers.

You are also in California, and that means you have to be more careful than most other locations in what you do if you wish to keep driving on public roadways.

I don't even think that there are any headers that are CARB approved for the S650.
