Did anyone ever figure out what is going on with the red line on these 5.0 cars?

My car has a little over 300 miles on it now and I was planning on driving a bit more aggressively soon. I have an MT82 car and I'm not sure if I should be shifting at 7,500 on the tach or 7,250 because of some soft limiter I have been hearing about. Did the S550 behave in this way or is this some new kind of limiter? I have been building up the revs gradually as I have owned the car but haven't had it over 6,000 rpm yet.

The 550 did not have any break in limiter that I can recall. I had a 15 GT M6 and a 18 GT A10.

My buddy picked up a Dark Horse A10, he said it pulls hard until red line (7500) on the dash and doesn't feel like it short shifts at all.

I know thats not a manual car, but just relaying the info i know. Want to know more too.

After break-in and due to lack of external data logged provided information you could attempt to find the limiter the old fashioned way. Acknowledged, much easier / safer to check with those that have been there before.

manual method: clutch In, rpm’s up, take it to red line, when does it start to miss?
