Its been 6- 8 months since the first DH/GT have arrived.

Been very interested in resale values of the DH and GT

Im seeing GTs slowly been advtertised for almost purchase price with 200-2000km

Im also seeing a drop.in advertised price in the darkhorse.

Long term i can only think the DH will appreciate above cost price

Have seen GT prices advertised for slightly below new prices now (admittedly i got caught up.in the hype and saw the s650 as some "diamond in the rough" but at the end of the day is it just another mass produced car?"

And a few DH ive seen a few advertised for $115k+ orc for ones with 300-5000kms

Kind of a bit surprised given that production has stopped, would have thought the excluding high mileage/poorly modified ones, prices would stay at purchase price or above

One thing I'm hoping for is good retained values. I got really tired of 2nd hand Euro values going down the white porcelain.

I've seen pre-owned DH mustangs for between 60 and 70k. Mine is going to depreciate quite a bit since it had a 87 MSRP without discount because I went for additional options. $5,000 off is the biggest discount I've seen on the DH in stock. I will probably lose quite a bit but I'm not too worried about it because I'm enjoying the thrill of this vehicle.
We are talking aussie dollars here,
Our market is very different, especially for dark horses

There are around 30 of them on Carsales. I think in a year or so we'll have a better idea of what they'll be doing on the used market. Its a supply and demand thing just like any other. Once there are less of them for sale, their prices might go up or stabilize. The Mach1's were no different.

I find the resale values of the s550s odd
Mach 1vs bullit vs rspec
Would have thought the bullits command a substancial premium, given only 700 produced, and having more power

I suspect that given the new dark horse with 500 units= the rarity of the first one goes down and hence pricing.

Unless the new one is so bad everyone makes the first one more appealing

Some serious depreciation on S650 GTs now , Dare i say more that s550's . AUDUSD up 10% since first S650 price point not going to help at all . Future 650's may well be cheaper than previous model if AUDUSD strengthens further which looks likely with AUD just making 4 year highs

ive seen a few DH with 1000km being advertised on carsales for $110k+ORC, and some comments saying they picked one up for virtually new for $100k

very surprised, I thought these would hold value indefinitely or maybe a 10% drop

Depending on the spec, $110k+ORC is what they went for new anyway. So, from where I'm sitting, they are doing very well with maybe a 10% drop if people are getting them for a bit over 100k.
My car was +-110k + ORC when new which means it was about 120k drive away, and it's a fully spec 'ed car with the Recaros.
At the time I also considered a BMW M2 which was 140k+ drive away and now sell for about 100k. So, I think the DH's are doing ok. Don't know about the GT''s, and I don't know what happens to the DH pricing when more arrive later.
