I’m really glad this got posted as it puzzles me. I’m thinking it has to do with SPEED LIMITER. But I have not figured it out, but not a biggie. Just curious.

If I push the middle left button (circled in blue in first image) it turns on and sets the adaptive cruise control with the icon in the second image (circled in red) appearing. If I’m actually driving it shows the set speed.

I do not understand the bottom left button (circled in red in the first image). When I push it I get the icon shown in the third image (circled in yellow). It seems to limit the speed, but I cannot figure out how to change that speed.

So, I use the adaptive and ignore that bottom left button, but I would like to understand it.

Is the red one the recall? Blue is off and on and red is recall (in case you used the brakes and disengaged the ‘cruise’) ?

The center button does recall or disengages the cruise if I push it.

🙃🙃🙃😉😉😉😊😊😊
I think it could serve that purpose if you could set the speed.

I couldn’t remember, haven’t used it lately, but however, the screenshot included the icon from post #1, so yes, the icon question for post #1 is average trip speed?

So what function does the button left button serve? It does more than show average speed.

Agree. I think I tried it using the instructions posted above by Zig but it never seemed to work. It did not change the speed shown, which some are saying is an average speed.

I think I’ll return to my thinking before seeing this thread and will just ignore the bottom left button and speed limiter. I’ll limit my speed with my brain and foot — well, I will try!!!
This $h!* is just too complicated. I'm not trying to fly an F-15. I'm just trying to drive my car.

No clarification required.

I am curious if you have used the speed limiter successfully using those instructions from the manual?
Please point me in the direction of my instruction, so i may clarify if required.

Not on purpose, the limiter allows the ‘float’ for when it reads a speed limit sign. The green icon shows the limit float control is active. The lower left button turns it on and off. The slash circle with number in the center display (trip screen) is the average speed for the trip.

I think Skye’s assessment on this is the best. I’ll just ignore the SPEED LIMITER.

It is a speed limiter. I’ve tried using it lately while I wait for parts to fix my adaptive cruise control. When set to a specific speed, once you get to that speed, further small depressions of the gas pedal will not increase your speed, unless you depress the pedal a significant amount. Then the car will accelerate. I’ve tried it for known speed traps, speed camera spots so I don’t accidentally exceed the speed (my speedometer is off due to changing to 20” wheels & taller tires). Also, cruising on the interstate at a fixed speed - keeps a steady speed. Not a fan. Hard to drive a hot rod & have a computer restricting the throttle!
