Looks really nice. I'm curious if you or anyone else knows how vinyl stripes hold up over time when exposed to the elements and father time, etc. I wonder if some years down the road they might start to peel? And if they do peel what happens to the paint underneath the stripes?

Can you take these off if need be? If so, I wonder if the paint underneath would be a different shade from the rest of the car as it's been protected from the sun and other elements? I'm just curious if anyone knows?

Had custom dual racing stripes on my old 2010. Put them on in '18, had them until I sold the car in September, They don't peel if done right, but they will fade and stain over time. It won't affect the paint underneath which can be bad if your uncovered paint fades. It's all put on with heat guns so is relatively easy to take off with said heat guns.

In all I'd say a good set can last 4-5 years before showing their age if you take care of them.

Appreciate the reply and the info. I was actually debating on getting them from the factory on an EB so I assume coming from the factory the application would be nice but then again you never know, lol. I do live in Michigan were we get our fair share of everything weather wise so that does give me a little bit of pause. I actually like the wheels and stripes package Ford is doing on the EB and I especially like the 19" wheels that come on the package. I've also been debating the pros and cons of the 18" standard EB wheel vs this 19" wheel with the horrible roads and massive potholes we have around me.

Here's some pics of a 24 EB with the wheels and stripes package I was referring to if anyone is interested in seeing it:

i wouldnt stress too much over factory stripes, its all the same vynil that everyone else uses and has the same application process. as for weather related stuff ill add that my 2010 did have stripes on the door lower than the EB pictured there, those stripes DID take a couple minor knicks from rocks however colorwise they were almost as white as the day i had them installed, and thats accounting for 4 new england winters worth of daily driving. the big issue for stripes is sun damage

I am in Michigan as well and had vinyl stripes on my 2006 that I drove all year long, including on a 45 mile each way commute from Port Huron to Detroit. Put over 200,000 miles on it with no issues.

30+ years in Vinyl etc biz(off and on) it all depends on the brand of vinyl which version cast or calendared or if they used car wrap.. some vinyls will last and stay vibrant for 3 years some will last 10 or longer (if taken care of) you can also have vinyl laminated with an extra clear UV layer or have it done with a liquid... I mean I still see vehicles I did artwork on in my town I did 15+ years ago .. lol its still on there does it look great nah but I live in the Deep South of Ga the sun down here will kill most stuff... but again its also about how its taken care of and which kind of vinyl is used...

I've done stripes multiple times on a variety of vehicles. They hold up pretty well here in CA, but eventually the sun will fade them some. Also, the paint underneath them will not match the rest of your paint once the vinyl's been on awhile.

That looks terrific. Might have to consider doing the same on my convertible.

Curious why you decided not to stripe the center panel in the back? Not saying it looks bad or anything, just wanted to know your thought process.

I'm not too worried about the sun fading the vinyl over time but I'm more worried about the paint underneath not matching the rest of the car after the vinyl's been on awhile. I think I'll steer clear of the vinyl for now.
