Cup holder trim.

Anyone replaced the cup holder rings from chrome to black? Does it pop off or do you have to remove the centre console?

Chrome to black? Kids these days. Give them nice chrome and they paint it black.

the cupholder trim is deceptively expensive and requires removing the center console. it sounds a lot hard than it is, though. just take off the two side panels from the front, take out four 7mm bolts, pop off the drift brake surround if you have that, and the entire center console pops off. my biggest tip with trim panels is "carefully but firmly remove". the clips are a lot stronger than you think, but that means the surrounding material may be weaker; perfect example is the door sill plates.

the scary thing about removing trim is when you dont know how its secured, where the clips are. once you take it off once, you will be more confident in the future
