Pink Floyd's On The Turning Away is one of the best car songs. Starts slow and then the guitars come in at the back end and keep building. Wendy James from Transvision Vamp was something else. All good choices....

Truly a fantastic song, but I want to be in my comfy chair with a glass of nice red, and zone out to it.

It would be interesting to hear what people's favourite music genre is on this thread. I mean we can like more than one style but what is their go to for that special ride on a sunny day? Rock, pop, disco, alternative, rap, punk, country, opera or anything else? And favourite artist...ACDC would have to get a few mentions I'm guessing...but who knows?
As I get older I appreciate more genres (even Kylie). I grew up and live in NW Sydney burbs and am mostly a metal head with some punk, grunge and 70's/80's rock thrown in. Basically I'm into anything that requires actually playing an instrument to produce a song.

Geez DFB5.0 will be happy to hear that! I agree though, these days if I like a song I don't care who or what genre it is.

I have a song I like to blast on the road. It's about a rapper who spoke about how many youngsters get a nice big check and are bitten by the bug. One night his manager called him and said he's got a check for $265Gs. He got on the phone and called Ferrari, and asked if they had a Ferrari for sale. Sales said a black Testarossa. He said he'll take it. Song won't do you much good unless you have a subwoofer. Sir Mic A Lot "My Testarossa".
