After a LOT of research I decided to have my new 2026 Mustang GT premium convertible ceramic coated. It had about 15 miles on it when I drove it to the detailing shop. The detailer rinsed it, applied a neutralizer to remove contaminants (particularly steel dust from the railway stock yards where our Mustangs wait for transport), paint corrected via buffing, clay barred it, then applied Feynlab V3. The color is Molten Magenta tri-color metallic - the change was dramatic. As the Mustang arrived from the factory the paint was striking enough but after the Feynlab V3 the paint is amazing. The color looks deeper, the shine is blinding and the surface is slick. I can hardly believe the difference. I also had the detailer remove all four rims/tires to do the same process to the rims - spokes and inside barrels - to make it easier to remove brake dust. It comes with a 6 year warranty. As I garage park it with a soft cover it will likely not need the warranty. I also purchased two 1 liter bottles of the Feynlab PH neutral Pure Wash. The wash process is to spray the car with water, spray a light coating of Pure Wash onto the paint with a spritzer bottle, rinse the car off then use the big microfiber towels I have to pat dry any beaded-up water. I will not drive it for seven days to allow an 80% cure stage. It will be fully cured in 30 days at which point it can be washed with Pure Wash. Until then I can just spray water on it and blot the surface with my micorfiber towels. The two best things I did with this car was to have it delivered from the dealer (300 miles away) on a flat bed and have the Feynlab V3 put on the paint and rims. ***** A comforting note to Mustang owners. The detailer said he and his crew admired the quality of the Ford paint job. The detailer is booked months in advance by owners of every top end car you can think of so when he said they had very little paint correction to do, as compared to a lot of other vehicles, that is good news for all of us Mustang owners. I will try to attach some pictures but they really don't do the look justice. BTW on the drive home (5 miles) from the detailing shop I must have been honked at and thumbs upped a dozen times!

I did the same thing with my Molten Magenta. It looked good before but the prep work and ceramic coating make it sparkle. Well worth the cost

Well done sir. These cars come from the factory with lots of contaminates on the finish. You will love that ceramic when you go to wash it next time. Enjoy.

Neat. I just hand wash monthly and hand wax every 4-6 months. Good opportunity to stay aware of anything going on with the paint, panels, and glass in the car. How much did you end up paying to have your paint corrected the coating applied to your car?

@Alex381..... so Feynlab has several levels of ceramic protection each costing more for the product. He offered a very decent ceramic program for $600.00. I chose Feynlab's best hydrophobic product Feynlab V3 and had the rims treated too - AND - to treat the rims I chose to have them removed from the car to have the inside barrels treated (not many do) according to the team. So, with all of that (extras) it was about $1,000.00 I live in a small town near several big cities. I bet getting the same treatment there would be about $300.00 more.

Nice! The paint isn’t too bad on my Mustang. My worst car was my 16 GTI Autobahn. I did about 300 touch ups for chips before I sold it after 5 years. My Model 3 only had about 10 chips in 4 years. My Mustang is up to about 25 after a year. Luck of the draw I suppose.

@2026FX ..... awesome. Please up-date us on the results and I, for one, would love to see some pictures. I rinsed my 2026 for the first time and the dust just rolled-off and left a few water beads which I used a specialty micro fiber towel from Amazon to drag across the car (using the weight of the towel only) and the result was spectacular. What product is your detailing guy using?

$600 is really cheap. That may not necessarily be a good thing. Ask them what they do to prepare the finish and what cermaic coating they use and how long its rated for. If they aren't going to clean the surface of contaminates or do a proper polish, and then use a cheap 1 year coating, I would pass. You are better off spending more money to get better results that will last much longer.

I haven't gotten to really drive my dh yet since buying it. It's on its second week at the shop getting full paint correction, full PPF, and ceramic coating. I can't wait to see it hopefully by the end of this week. Owning 2 other black Mustangs, making sure I did it right this time.

This was my last mustang after picking it up from ceramic coating.

I took delivery of the car yesterday, with 6 miles. Drove it right to the shop, it had 19 miles. I am getting the Blask RX 752, 10 year warranty. I did not have them do wheels off. It was pouring rain when I took delivery, so the car is filthy in the picture. I get it back tomorrow when the work has been completed, I will get some more pictures at that time.

It is a super reputable shop, been in business over 7 years. My mustang was the cheapest car in the place, it was packed wall to wall with Bentleys, Lamborghinis and Ferraris. Normal price was $995, but they had a “special” for $600. He is putting on Blask RX 752 which comes with a 10 year warranty. I was prepared to spend the $995, but when I called, he goes were having a special for spring, $600, so I took it. He has over 200 reviews and a 4.99/rating on Google. I feel pretty confident in the service.
